Pay-What-You-Want Performances

Since 1989, Fulton Theatre’s Pay-What-You-Want Program has enabled audience members who otherwise would not be able to afford a ticket the opportunity to attend at whatever price they feel comfortable paying. Pay-What-You-Want tickets may be purchased two hours prior to the scheduled performance.  Pay-What-You-Want tickets are available to those using an accessibility service at the performances for which the service needed is provided, in addition to the regular Pay-What-You-Want performance dates listed below.  Services include ASL interpretation, audio description, open captioning and Spanish interpretation.

For the 2012–13 season, Pay-What-You-Want performances will be held on the first Tuesday of each Premier Series production on the following dates:

  • Gypsy: September 11 at 7:30 PM

Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Assistive Listening Devices:  Assistive Listening Devices amplify and clarify the sound onstage. The inconspicuous FM receiver device may be used in any seat at any performance. Headsets with induction neck loops are available for patrons who use hearing aids and cochlear implants with a “T” switch feature (also known as “T-coil” or “telephone switch” or “telephone coil”).  There is no charge for headsets. They are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from the Audience Services Desk, located to the right of the Fulton’s Main Entrance.

ASL Interpretation:  Certified interpreters for select performances provide American Sign Language interpretation.  To access special reserved seating mention ASL in your reservation request by sending an email to access@thefulton.org. In your email, include your name, address, phone number, email address, number of tickets requested, and performance date and time.  If you need to cancel your reservation, contact access@thefulton.org so that we may extend an offer to wait listed patrons.  The Pay-What-You-Want program is available for patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing at all ASL interpreted performances.

For the 2012–13 season, ASL interpreted performances will be held on the second Saturday of each Premier Series production on the following dates:

The Pay-What-You-Want program is available for patrons who are blind, with limited sight or low vision at all audio described performances.

For the 2012–13 season, audio described performances will be held on the second Saturday and third Tuesday of each Premier Series production on the following dates:
