Our camps offer opportunities to a wide range of artists, varying from young learners to veteran performers. We aim to share inspiring experiences and develop all participants' theatre knowledge and skill, through which students' creativity, communication, and confidence are sure to grow. Back to Academy ›

Please Read Before Registering  

We use our ticketing system for Camp Registration. This can look confusing, so please refer to the following instructions. To Register, Select 'Register Now' next to the camp you would like to choose. Do not change the date on the 'Select Your Seat' page. You can change the number of students you would like to register. Click 'Reserve' and then Check Out as you would for any other purchase. Please make sure to include a valid email address as this is how we will contact you with important information about camp. You will be given a 'ticket' that will only list the first day of camp. Please refer to the description of the camp below for the full dates and times. BROADWAY KIDS- Morning Session  

Ages 4-7

MORNING SESSION: JUNE 10-14, 9AM-11AM

Students will be inspired by all of the artists involved in the theater as they explore costumes and props, create set designs, and learn songs and dances from Broadway shows. Imaginations will soar as young learners engage in dramatic play diving into stories filled with adventure! Children will learn stories from around the world and journey to destinations using their actor’s tools to become the characters in these magical places.

WIZARD ACADEMY- Morning Session

MORNING SESSION: JUNE 24-28, 9AM-12PM

Do you love the wizarding world of Harry Potter and similar stories? If so, you will love this week-long camp in which students will build their arts skills through magical and imaginative activities. Students will be sorted into houses, build their own wands, create charms and potions, and write and perform their very own wizard inspired scenes and stories. You won’t want to miss this magical camp!

Elementary students will create their own Broadway Musical Revue! They will participate in all aspects of the show, training in strong performance techniques and developing a depth of knowledge for a theatrical production. Join us for a delicious and magical musical adventure that culminates with a performance on the iconic Fulton stage! To make this experience even sweeter, this young cast will perform on the amazing set from the Fulton Theatre’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Led by industry professionals and teaching artists, students in rising grades 6-12 will participate in all aspects of the show, training in strong performance techniques and developing a depth of knowledge for a theatrical production. Ensemble skills will be practiced, and strong friendships will be formed at this high-energy camp.

In the theatre, it takes a talented village to create a production, and there are many types of theatre artists including Lighting, Sound, and Costume Designers as well as Stage Managers and the production team. If you are a self-directed learner and these technical roles, along with aspects of performing, interest you, then we encourage you to register for our Technical Track! Because it is important for theater technicians to understand and have experience in all areas of theater practice, Tech students will actively participate in beginning stages of the production, from auditions to learning the music and choreography. They will then help to create the world of the show through the building of set and props. During the show, students will have the opportunity to perform as ensemble members while assisting in making the backstage elements of the performance run smoothly. Tech track students will have the additional experience of shadowing and learning from the Fulton Theatre’s professional production team throughout their time at camp! *There are only 10 student spots open for the Technical Track.

Learn the basic rules of the game as you hone acting skills like active listening and spontaneity. You will also gain a better understanding of character, circumstance, emotion, and action. Make yourself and your scene partner look great and say "yes!" to actions and characters introduced into a scene. Improv is a great confidence builder in addition to being a lot of fun!

SCENE STUDY- ACTING LAB   

RISING GRADES 6-12

Teens will dive into the Actor’s process, analyzing and creating characters while working with contrasting comedic and dramatic scenes. Students will learn how to use their bodies and voices to build strong and believable characters and relationships with fellow actors.

Academy Programs

Early Childhood

Young children (ages 3-7) explore dramatic play through storytelling, music, dance/movement, and puppetry. The Early Childhood Program develops creativity, social and emotional skills, and problem-solving techniques.

Elementary School

Elementary aged youth explore the many components of the performing arts. Students hone their skills focusing on their Actor's Tools: Body, Voice, Imagination, and Ensemble Cooperation.

Teen Conservatory

Teens will sharpen their skills for strong performance techniques and learn a depth of knowledge for theatre production. Students will discover the artist within through intensive exercises in acting voice, physical movement/dance and ensemble development.
