Cultivating an environment where the arts can flourish...

A strong wind blows into a little town bringing both a road-closing blizzard and a storm of romance. William Inge’s sparkling dialogue vividly brings to life a busload of colorful characters forced to spend the night at a 24-hour roadside diner. The rough-as-sandpaper cowboy tries to woo the nightclub chanteuse he’s kidnapped to take home to his ranch as his wife; the pleasantly pickled professor sets his sights on the naïve, starryeyed young waitress; and her older, seen-it-all-before colleague takes one last chance at love with the bus driver she’s never been able to spend more than 20 minutes with. Good luck guessing who finds their sweetheart and who gets left out in the cold when the storm clears in this classic American, coffee-stained romantic comedy.
