Tony Wendice married Margot for her money, and now he's planning to kill her for the same reason. So, he arranges the perfect murder and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. But, as is so often the case when plotting a murder, things go awry. Can Margot's young lover and a police inspector from Scotland Yard uncover the truth? This suspenseful, mind-twisting mystery has thrilled audiences for decades. Alfred Hitchcock's original film adaptation has been named one of the American Film Institute's Top 10 Mysteries and inspired two remakes - a 1981 television movie with Angie Dickinson and Christopher Plummer and A Perfect Murder (1998) starring Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow.
