Academy of TheatreThe Fulton Academy of Theatre provides area children and adults with professional instruction in the theatre arts over the course of four different semesters (fall, winter, (including a one-week winter break session), spring, summer). Classes cover all aspects of the theatre arts, both on stage and behind the scenes. Fulton's Academy of Theatre increases the skills and knowledge of the student with the goal of becoming a professional theatre artist, as well as the student who is using the theatre arts to develop life skills. More than 500 students ranging from pre-schoolers to high school seniors to senior citizens, take Academy classes each year, with scholarship aid available to those facing financial needs. Fulton Theatre seeks to reach the demands of the 21st century work force, and we believe that our whole child approach to teaching and learning supports acquisition of both theatre arts and lifelong skills necessary for our youth to think critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and of course, collaborate. Fulton Theatre teaching artists provide a healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged environment for students. Learn more about our staff of teaching artists and our Academy policies. |
