About the Leadership

Marc Robin (Artistic Director)  is thrilled to continue his 7th year as Artistic Director of this remarkable theatre. Some of his favorite shows here have included Les Misérables, Rags, Sweeney Todd, The Woman in Black and Treasure Island. He has staged over 350 productions across the country at such theatres as Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Walnut Street Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars in Houston, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Theatre, Steppenwolf, and Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago. He works extensively in the summers at Maine State Music Theatre and still has the pleasure of directing at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago where he has been employed in various capacities over the past 30 years. His work has been awarded and nominated by several different organizations including 3 Barrymore Nominations (Philadelphia), 2 Carbonell Nominations (Florida), A Black Theatre Award for Direction (Chicago), 13 After Dark Awards for Direction and Choreography (Chicago), Lifetime Achievement Award from Light Opera Works (Chicago); 28 Broadway World Nominations (Chicago, Maine, and Pennsylvania) winning the Best Director Award for the Fulton’s Gypsy and Venus in Fur and the Best Choreography Award for Les Misérables, he has been the honored recipient of 16 Joseph Jefferson Awards (Chicago) and 56 Jefferson Nominations, making him the most awarded individual and the most nominated in the Jeff Awards’ 65 year history.

Aaron A. Young (Managing Director) Aaron joined the Fulton team in 2003. After several years in shopping center marketing, Aaron decided to devote his career to furthering the careers of artists in order to break the cycle of belief that the arts are a nice hobby but not a worthwhile profession. For six seasons, he directed the marketing and management of the Sundance Film Festival and Sundance Theatre, both programs of Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute. Aaron has also served as general manager for the Missouri Repertory Theatre and marketing and corporate development manager for Kansas City’s historic Folly Theatre. A magna cum laude graduate of Brigham Young University and formerly a professional actor, singer, and pianist, Aaron now spends his free time enjoying the pursuits of his wife and daughters, serving at church, and occasionally knitting a new pair of socks. He is very pleased that the Fulton is able to provide professional wages and benefits to more than 250 artists and arts administrators every year.
